During her time at Penn State, Georgia has learned so much about the world of Communications. Studying Broadcast Journalism has given her a chance to see all sides of the process that goes into this field. She has learned how to create content both for audio and video, edit the content, and create scripts. Georgia has also learned a great deal about working with outside contacts to create these stories. She is excellent at finding people to interview stories and communicate with them in a professional way.

Throughout her time at Penn State, Georgia has been apart of a variety of clubs and organizations to continue her learning experiences outside of the classroom. She has been a part of Ed2010, which is club focused on print journalism. It gave her a chance to see how the print world works and make friends with similar interests. She has also been a part of PSNtv. This is a student run club that creates shows and newscasts. PSN allows students to learn all the aspects of producing newscasts and shows. Georgia has also been able to take part in Penn State's Dance Marathon, the largest student run philanthropy in the world. THON has taught Georgia to appreciate life and give to others.

Outside of Penn State, Georgia has also learned a lot about the Communications field in the professional world. After her Freshman year, Georgia interned at Pennsylvania University's public radio station WXPN. She learned so much about the radio business during her internship. While at WXPN, Georgia worked under Mike Vasilikos one of the directors of the station. During the internship, Georgia created scripts, wrote for the station's music blog, edited sound and assisted Mike with his daily tasks. In this past summer, Georgia had another internship. She worked with Enterprise, which allowed to step out of the track she has been on since Freshman year and explore a different aspect of the professional world. By sharpening her sales and people skills, Georgia feels prepared for any type of profession and the tasks that will come with it.

Georgia will be graduating this coming May and is excited to see what the future will bring for her. She hopes to work in the Communications field on the business side where she can use the skills she has learned from the classroom and her own life experience to excel and create an amazing career.
